Financial policy
One of the most important starting points is to ensure the continuity. This means projects will not be started before we can guarantee lasting support for the project. A follow-up phase within a project will also only be initiated when enough financial security exists to reach the goals.
- In the case of childrens’ education in Gambia, this means that it is ensured that the aid will be structural.
- For donors, this means that donations will be spent in a well-considered way.
A different and not less important aspect of the financial policy is to keep the overhead costs as low as possible. We can achieve this because we work exclusively with volunteers. Board members do NOT receive compensation for their work, nor for travel and meeting costs.
